Do your weekend habits affect your progress?
Troubleshoot your restrictive habits.🧑🏽💻
We have all seen mukbang videos or watched someone plow through their cheat day meals in person or on social media. But these kind of eating habits could be holding you back more than you think. 😳.
I have been there. Overtime, the caloric surplus didn’t make me feel good 🥴 I’d spend the week losing the weight I had put on over the weekend. Overtime this could hinder your fat loss or maintenance goals.
There is nothing wrong with shifting caloric goals during the week to leave extra room for more flexibility on weekends or vacations. However, this should be done sensibly.🤓
Cheat days have been linked to binge eating disorders or other disordered eating habits. PMID: 22177390 Keeping dietary habits that are so limited can trigger a binge eating episode. Which could develop into a chronic disorder.
Abstaining from certain foods just to feel that you are “eating clean” doesn’t mean that you are practicing good dietary habits. You could also be causing yourself a lot of unnecessary stress. 😵💫
Overall, the focus should always be on maintaining caloric goals 🎯 that are appropriate for you. This will allow you to eat the foods you enjoy and help you feel satisfied in your dietary habits.
